Sihanoukville schools

Traditionally there haven’t been a lot of great education options in Sihanoukville, but that’s finally starting to change.

Idea Source is touted as Sihanoukville’s best school. They use “blended learning, gamification, and competency-based approaches” to provide students with a solid foundation of relevant skills and knowledge. Based on age and aptitude, students can study subjects like IT, English, Chinese, dance, and music. Idea Source offers pre-kindergarten classes for children 18 months to three years, kindergarten and primary for children three to six years, and a proficiency-based class for children six to nine years. Monthly fee structures start at $100/month up to $270/month, depending on age and half or full days.

The International French School, or Ecole Française de Sihanoukville, is Sihanoukville’s branch of the French schools that are found all over the world. Their international Francophone teachers are trained and certified in the official program of the French Ministry of Education. As with all French schools, the school is intended for children of French-speaking parents, but they will accept other foreign and Khmer students (and teach them French). In addition to regular academic classes, the school also has classes in English, Khmer, and music. The cost is $70 per month for kindergarten and $200 per month after that.
